Section 1. Proposed Amendments. ( As Proposed )
Any proposed amendments to these By-Laws may be introduced by any member of the Club at any regular meeting or special meeting called for that purpose. They must be acted upon by the Club membership at a regular meeting or a special meeting called for that purpose, provided that a copy of the proposed amendment has been sent to each Club member at least (10) days previous to the meeting. Copies will be sent via the Club member’s email address and will also be published online at the Club website. Copies will also be sent to Club members by United States mail provided that the Club member has a “request for standard mail notifications ” card on file at the Club. An affirmative vote by two-thirds (2/3) or more of the members present will be required to enact a proposed
amendment.
The proposal above mentions a “request for standard mail notifications”. This is a voluntary program we will be starting soon so members can opt in to a formal “hard copy” mailing of various correspondence sent out by the club. We are aware that some members neither have nor want email and deserve the option for regular mail. A sample of the form is attached.
Immediately following the meeting, refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there.
